Some FNPLY® versions use colours to help your brain automatically and unconsciously absorb whether a word is feminine, masculine or neuter.
German
In German, there are three genders: masculine, feminine, and neuter. But nouns and adjectives can change depending on the verb and how the sentence is built. Because of this, the article doesn’t always make it easy to see the gender of a word.
To help your brain quickly and naturally learn which words are masculine, feminine, or neuter in German, we use the following color code in FNPLY® Beginners German:
-
Masculine words in German appear in blue.
-
Feminine words in German appear in pink.
- Neuter words in German appear in green.
